Overview
At some point in their careers, every crime scene responder has encountered a scene where the blood present is "everywhere" and there is no clear way to begin. That feeling can be extremely overwhelming. This training will provide attendees with an easy methodology for the documentation, collection and preservation of blood evidence utilizing the principles of bloodstain pattern identification. A review of different bloodstain patterns and their physical characteristics will set the foundation for the ways to document crime scenes thoroughly and efficiently. Various aspects of documentation will be discussed including photography, note taking, and sketching.
